A clinician is a doctor, nurse or other health professional who assesses or treats you. FDA is short for Food and Drug Administration, the US drug review agency.

As of September 2026, Florida’s Department of Health takes complaints about licensed doctors, nurses, pharmacists and pharmacies.
Clinic or other care business
The state’s facility agency.
Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration is called AHCA. It takes complaints about places it licenses, such as clinics, hospitals and nursing homes, and places working without a required license.
Medicine problem

A patient can report a problem with a medical product through the FDA service called MedWatch.
What a health complaint can do.
As of September 2026, the Department of Health can act on a license but cannot get your fees back.
It does not handle ordinary bill disputes, refunds or rudeness.
The usual Florida health complaint must be in writing and signed.
There is no filing fee, though copies of health records may cost money.
Ask who can see your complaint.
As of September 2026, Florida keeps patient names and medical records private from the public in the health complaint process.
If the Department of Health investigates, it gives the person you complained about a copy of the complaint.
Private from the public does not mean hidden from the person being investigated. Before filing, ask the Department what details that person will receive.
Florida’s Attorney General takes complaints about misleading ads and unfair business practices.
Information you send to that office is usually a public record that other people can ask to read.
Only information covered by a specific privacy exception in Florida law is protected from that public access.
