Before starting a service, ask who stays involved and how the plan will be reviewed.

A clinician is a doctor, nurse or other health professional who assesses or treats you. FDA is short for Food and Drug Administration, the US drug review agency.

A refill process and a care review differ.

Refill process

How more medicine is arranged.

Ask who reviews the request and what information they need before answering.

Care review

How the plan is reconsidered.

Ask when the clinician will discuss progress, concerns and whether the same plan still fits.

Write down how to get a refill and how to arrange a care review. A delivery date does not answer both questions.

Ask who answers questions after delivery.

FDA’s telehealth checklist warns about services where patients cannot ask a licensed doctor questions after receiving their medicine.

Ask which questions go to the clinician and which go to the pharmacist. Get a clear way to reach each through the service.

Florida weight-loss care includes a care review.

As of September 2026, Florida’s rule for prescribing weight-loss treatments requires a new check of the patient at least every three months.

Ask how the service arranges this review. Paying for another month does not tell you when your care will be checked.

Leave with a follow-up plan.
